Year 12 Students completing Art & Design visited Leeds College of Art on 14th June 2016. The trip was a chance to look at final year shows and get a crash course on portfolio presentation. The trip was invaluable as it gave students food for thought when deciding on their next path after Studio School.

The students were very impressed with the quality on show and now have a really firm idea on how to present their work before they go for University interviews next year.

Year 12 Art Student Casey Gallagher commented “The experience of Leeds College of Art was amazing – it’s given me so much confidence going in to year 13, I know how important my portfolio is to progress to the next stage in my education”.

The trip to Leeds College of Art is one of many enrichment opportunities provided by the Studio School that help develop knowledge and understanding of further progression routes.

About the school

The Creative & Media Studio School is open to all young people who have a creative flare and are aged between 16 – 19 years old.

The Creative and Media Studio School was the first Studio School to open in the world in 2010. Since then it has achieved a series of fantastic outcomes for students. Today's news (14.08.2014) follows in that tradition and we are delighted
