#CreateYourself

Every child matters, this is not up for discussion!

The CREATE+ Group.

At the studio school we believe in focusing on each student’s capabilities so we can provide an appropriate and individual teaching plan for them. Part of our analysis involves us looking at all students who have achieved A/A* (7-9 in points!) in their creative GCSEs. It is our belief that these students should achieve the highest grades possible in the Level 3 subsequent course. These students form the CREATE+ group.

This is not an exclusive group! Whilst we use GCSE data to identify these students in Year 12, we do not prevent other students from being part of the CREATE+ group should they show the highest potential. The aim of the CREATE+ group is to ensure that all our higher able artists, musicians, designers and actors get those top grades so we can be sure their learning journey has been a successful one.

How do we support CREATE+ students?

The CREATE+ group is an aspirational group. We want all students to aspire to be part of the CREATE+ group. At the CMSS we offer a range of enrichment and support programs for all students, but relevant to the CREATE+ group. These include:

  • Visits and connections with Russell Group Universities.
  • Sutton School Initiatives.
  • Specialist subject trips/enrichment.
  • 1:1 mentoring.
  • Subject Competitions.
  • Work Experience.
  • Summer School opportunities.

About the school

The Creative & Media Studio School is open to all young people who have a creative flare and are aged between 16 – 19 years old.

The Creative and Media Studio School was the first Studio School to open in the world in 2010. Since then it has achieved a series of fantastic outcomes for students. Today's news (14.08.2014) follows in that tradition and we are delighted
